Council Meetings to open to public, in-person participation June 22

Councilmember Agran has been participating in Council Meetings exclusively through Zoom since taking office late last year. Next Council Meeting, he and the public, will return as City Hall reopens to the public on June 15.

It was announced at this week’s City Council Meeting that beginning later this month Council Meetings will once again be open to in-person public participation.

“Since taking office in December 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, I have participated remotely in Council Meetings, as have others from time to time. I’ve looked forward to the day when I — and the general public — could return to City Hall in person. That day has come, and later this month I expect that we will all be able to participate in person at Council Meetings,” said Councilmember Agran after Tuesday’s Council Meeting. The Councilmember added: “I also want to acknowledge the tremendous efforts by City Staff, especially those behind the scenes, working to facilitate remote participation for me and for our residents.”
