JOST Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge Groundbreaking

In the final connection of the Mountains to Sea Trail, the City of Irvine and T.Y. Lin International broke ground on the Jeffrey Open Space Trail Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge. The bridge will be Irvine's longest and help cyclists and pedestrians travel across I-5. Thank you to State Senator Dave Min for helping to secure the funding for this 1.5-mile extension to the Jeffrey Open Space Trail.

There is Still Time Left — 2/11 Marine Battalion Pillow Drive

In collaboration with the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee, the Office of Vice Mayor Agran is on a mission to bring comfort and support to our heroes from the 2/11 Marine Battalion as they return home, but we need your help! Spread love by donating new standard bed pillows and pillowcases to ensure our heroes have a cozy place to rest their heads!

#WeFeedOC with Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County

What a day it was! On Saturday, the Office of Vice Mayor Agran and volunteers harvested over 20,000 pounds of broccoli at the Harvest Solutions Farm, all of which will go to 300 food pantries throughout Orange County. Thank you to Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County’s staff and all of the volunteers, including our fantastic harvest partner, USC Alumni. Together, #WeFeedOC!

Welcome to Irvine, StoreDot Research and Development!

Congratulations to StoreDot on the grand opening of their R&D hub in Irvine. Vice Mayor Agran’s team was onsite to welcome the business, tour the advanced technology campus, and learn about high-speed charging (XFC) electric vehicle batteries, which solve the crucial hurdles to mainstream EV adoption of range anxiety and charging worries. Thank you, Dr. David Lee, for the informative visit. Vice Mayor Agran is thrilled to see the innovative technology StoreDot brings to Irvine. Here’s to a bright future ahead!
